Available for global energy intensive markets, the NovusBloc™ welded plate heat exchanger encompasses a Tranter premium design concept offering a significant boost in heat exchange performance and durability for these processes.
NOVEL PLATE DESIGN
A patented design that provides state of the art weld quality and resistance against cyclic pressure and temperature process conditions while minimizing unnecessary additional pressure loss
REDUCED UNIT SIZE
The Novusbloc offers outstanding potential for reduced unit size, weight and footprint
FOUR MODEL SIZES
Comes in four different model sizes depending on the users’ heat transfer duty requirements. Each model can be pressed in many different materials to cope with corrosion aggressive environments
WITHSTAND CHALLENGING CONDITIONS
Able to withstand tough operating conditions in both single-phase and two-phase flow applications. No gaskets for fluid separation eliminates fluid compatibility issues for aggressive fluids
INCREASED DURABILITY
Unique design features reduce stress in critical components thus mitigating the risk of failure due to elevated temperatures and pressures
FULLY ACCESSIBLE FOR CLEANING
Novusbloc is fully accessible for mechanical cleaning and visual inspection

How The NOVUSBLOC Welded Plate Heat Exchanger Works
- The Novusbloc welded plate heat exchanger has a heat transfer element composed of two square plates welded together. Several plate pairs are then placed together and welded to each other
- The fluid flows through channels made of two plates welded together. Baffles re-direct both media back and forth through the all welded corrugated plate channels
- Multi-pass cross-flow arrangement can provide a temperature cross in a single-unit
- Panel cover plates and fixed heads provide pressure containment and access to the plate pack
- The finished exchanger is a pressure vessel of high integrity suitable for challenging industry applications
