For plate and frame heat exchangers, Tranter offers practical upgrades for safety, efficiency, easier maintenance and lower cost operation over long life-cycles.

Included are accessories for worker and workplace protection, collection of process data, effective cleaning, replacement gaskets and trouble-free unit opening and closing.

Gaskets

NBR or EPDM gaskets are offered as standard. Maximum temperature with NBR gaskets is 140°C (284°F) or EPDM 170°C (338°F). Other material options include FKM, HNBR, butyl, neoprene, Teflon encapsulated NBR, and others.

Plates

Plate pack exchange or Plate pack refurbishment (opening and closing of exchanger, pressure washing plates and visual plate inspection)

Hydraulic Closing Devices

Hydraulic closing devices make disassembly and reassembly of the exchangers fast and easy. Most importantly, they are accurate, able to attain specified gasket compression.

Insulated Shrouds

Shrouds improve thermal efficiency, saving boiler fuel. They also provide personnel with protection from hot and sharp surfaces.

Instruments And Gauges

Special flanges are available with outlets for drainage and ventilation, pressure gauges and sensors.

Drip Pans

Drip pans prevent water and other liquids from draining onto the floor when dismantling the heat exchanger.

Tie-Rod Protectors

Special covers protect personnel from coming in contact with sharp tie bolt threads, enhancing safety around the unit.

Port Strainers

A strainer protects the plate pack from large particles that would otherwise foul and clog the channels. The length is adapted to the number of plates.

Clean-In-Place Systems

Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems are available in standard and custom sizes.
